Clay Ave started the month by joining the U.S. Embassy Shopper’s Day Bazaar at the World Trade Center in Manila. I would like to thank all the people I invited who came. To those who signed up for private pottery lessons, I can’t wait to see those hands get dirty with clay!
Learning pottery can be done anywhere. All you need is a lump of clay, water, and some basic pottery tools. To those who are going somewhere after getting dirty with clay, I suggest that you have an apron or extra shirt ready : )
It is Clay Ave’s first time to go to private homes in Metro Manila this year. Traffic is always a hassle when we are pressed for time. So just relax and I will be the one to come over to your home. Simply form a group of at least five people and everything else will be brought to you!
Here’s all you need: A good table and hand towels for cleaning up after the sessions.
Clay Ave is not only holding private pottery lessons, but we are extending pottery lessons for team building pottery workshops that can be held at the pottery studio in Quezon City, or right in the office buildings within Metro Manila.
How old are you going to be? What unique activity can you do for your birthday party? Have you thought of learning and creating something as you turn a year older? Liven up your birthday by getting your hands dirty with clay! You can be as young as ten years old or in you senior citizen years. Add a year to your life by adding a new creative activity too!
Pottery field trips will be scheduled soon. The first was at Ugu Bigyan’s pottery haven in Tiaong, Quezon last summer. Clay Ave students will have the chance to interact with the potters behind their creative works. Know the passion that fires up the hearts of our own potters. Know why we do what we do.
I hope to meet you soon at the pottery studio!
